Russ Martinez - Voice, Piano
Classically trained pianist and vocalist, Russ Martinez has been a figure in Houston’s music scene for over fifteen years. He is most known for performing on television shows such as Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan, and prominent Houston events like "Madness on Main Festival" and the "Houston Auto Show".
Russ has studied voice under the prestigious direction of award winning instructors Deborah Tidwell, Robert Phillips & Tony Tuckwiller. He has studied piano within the liturgical training programs provided by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Russ has been teaching instruction in piano and voice for over twenty years in both group and private individual settings to students starting as young as six to adulthood.
Through his work as a musician, music director and teacher, Russ hopes to add to the already vibrant and dynamic nature of Houston’s arts scene. His passion is being a beacon of love to all he encounters as well as supporting the future and life of all musicians.
Mr. Russ is at the studio on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The American Music Academy takes pride in supplying our students with the best upright pianos to practice their modern or classical repertoire. Students will be able to use the full capabilities of a piano including dynamics, pedaling, musical phrasing, and dramatic interpretation. Students will be able to participate in seasonal recitals at one of Houston’s many venues. Recitals, included in their tuition, display each student’s personal achievements in their instrument. Our students have the option to perform piano, guitar, violin, viola, voice/singing, cello, and drums!
