
Joeavian Rivera - Voice, Piano
Joeavian Rivera is a classically trained baritone who recently completed his first season with the Moores Opera Center (2021–2022). There, he was featured as Carl-Magnus in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, Achilla in Händel’s Giulio Cesare, Krušina in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, and as Pistola in the Act III finale of Verdi’s Falstaff in concert with the Moores School of Music Symphony Orchestra. This summer, Joeavian will be featured as an Art of Song Fellow with the Toronto Summer Music Festival held on campus at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Houston Moores School of Music.
Joeavian received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Florida School of Music in Jacksonville, FL where he performed the roles of Koko in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado as well as both Papageno and Sprecher with UNF Opera and the European Music Academy.
He enjoys teaching piano and voice to all ages and loves to coach classical, pop, and musical theatre!
Mr. Joeavian is at the studio on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Students will be able to use the full capabilities of a piano including dynamics, pedaling, musical phrasing, and dramatic interpretation. Students will be able to participate in seasonal recitals at one of Houston’s many venues. Recitals, included in their tuition, display each student’s personal achievements in their instrument. Our students have the option to perform piano, guitar, violin, viola, voice/singing, cello, and drums!
